How Do I Join?

The Powell PTA registers members each year—typically at the start of school year in September. This year's membership drive was held in the Fall to raise awareness about the Colin Powell PTA, what it’s about, and the benefits of becoming a member. Membership information was also sent home in the children’s weekly folders, and sign-ups were held at “Back-to-School Night". However, joining is not limited to those times. Anyone can join the PTA throughout the school year. You don’t have to have a child enrolled in the school to be a member. Grandparents, friends, neighbors and community members are welcomed and encouraged to become PTA members.

What Does it Mean to Become a Member
When you become a member, you have the ability to vote and make decisions that affect the school and your kids. Therefore, as a member, you actually become part of the PTA’s “board of directors.”!

How Much Does it Cost?

Here are the Powell PTA membership fees. As you can see a portion of each membership fee collected is, by law, contributed to the State PTA, to help with its operating expenses.
